<p>Key Responsibilities<br><br></p>

<p>As a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a critical part of a dedicated team providing 3rd line support for a large UK-based client. You will be responsible for the advanced management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux-based platforms and infrastructure.</p>

<p><br><br></p>

<p>Your main responsibilities will include:</p>

<ul>

<li>Providing expert, 3rd line technical support and advanced troubleshooting for complex incidents and problems in a Linux environment.</li>

<li>Collaborating with the Service Integrator, 3rd parties, and other specialists to ensure the stability, availability, performance, and security of services through a best-practice approach.</li>

<li>Leading the planning, documentation, and execution of change and release activities, including patch and upgrade management.</li>

<li>Maintaining and enhancing configuration data, ensuring its accuracy and currency.</li>

<li>Acting as an escalation point for complex incidents and issues, driving them to resolution and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.</li>

<li>Proactively identifying, managing, and mitigating technical risks and issues.</li>

<li>Contributing to the development and maintenance of high-quality technical documentation.</li>

<li>Adhering to and championing ITIL-based policies and practices within our service management framework.<br></li>

<p>Person Specification</p>

<p>This role requires a highly skilled and experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges.</p>

<p>Key Performance Indicators:</p>

<ul>

<li>Successfully resolving high-priority and complex incidents within contracted SLAs.</li>

<li>Receiving positive feedback on the quality and effectiveness of your technical support from clients and internal teams.</li>

<li>Ensuring technical documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and kept up-to-date.</li>

<li>Continuously expanding your technical knowledge and skill set to stay ahead of industry trends.<br><br></li>

</ul>

<p>Skills and Experience:</p>

<ul>

<li>A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.</li>

<li>5 years experience as a&nbsp;3rd Line Linux Engineer&nbsp;with proven, advanced troubleshooting skills.</li>

<li>Expert-level knowledge of Linux server environments, specifically&nbsp;Ubuntu&nbsp;and&nbsp;Red Hat.</li>

<li>Proficiency in scripting and automation using&nbsp;PowerShell&nbsp;and Bash.</li>

<li>Understanding of IT network principles&nbsp;and troubleshooting network-related issues.</li>

<li>Experience with&nbsp;Azure&nbsp;infrastructure and services</li>

<li>Strong experience with configuration management and monitoring tools, such as N-able.</li>

<li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take full ownership of incidents from initial report to final resolution.</li>

<li>A positive, enthusiastic, and supportive attitude, with strong collaboration skills in a team environment.</li>

<li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.</li>

<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>

<ul>

<li>Relevant certifications in Linux administration (e.g., RHCSA, LPIC).</li>

<li>Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900).</li>
