About this role

<p>Purpose</p>

<p>The Junior Buyer supports the Procurement team by managing administrative tasks related to procurement processes, vendor coordination, and inventory management. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, accurate documentation, and timely communication with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.</p>

<p>Responsibilities</p>

<ul>

<li>Process purchase orders (POs) accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely approvals and compliance with company policies</li>

<li>Maintain and update vendor records, pricing agreements, and contracts</li>

<li>Communicate with vendors to confirm orders, delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies</li>

<li>Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability</li>

<li>Assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies and tracking incoming deliveries</li>

<li>Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth receipt and storage of goods</li>

<li>Organize and maintain purchasing files, records, and reports</li>

<li>Support the Purchasing &amp; Supply Chain team with data entry and document preparation</li>

<li>Prepare reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis and vendor performance</li>

<li>Act as a point of contact for supplier inquiries</li>

<li>Follow up on delayed shipments and backorders, escalating issues when necessary to minimize operational disruptions</li>

<li>Assist in evaluating vendor performance and recommending improvements</li>

<li>Utilize the ERP system to track and manage purchase orders, inventory, and vendor information</li>

<li>Maintain a working knowledge of relevant FDA CFRs, AATB standards, internal policies and standard operating procedures</li>

<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>

<ul>

<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li>

<li>Strong organizational and time-management skills</li>

<li>Effective verbal and written communication skills</li>

<li>Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously</li>

<li>Strong supplier communication and relationship-building skills</li>

<li>Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to the tissue, biologics and/or medical device industry (e.g., FDA, AATB, ISO)</li>

<li>Experience with implementing and optimizing supply chain management software and tools</li>

<li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities</li>

<li>Ability to secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance<br><br></li>

</ul>

<p>Education and Experience</p>

<ul>

<li>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in business administration or supply chain management from an accredited college or university preferred</li>

<li>At least 1 year of experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management, with a track record in a startup or high-growth environment preferred</li>

<li>Valid Class “C” driver’s license required</li>

<li>Clearance of favorable background investigation required</li>
