<p>Accountable: Connections Pastor</p>
<p>Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 (Director) up to $95,000 for Pastor</p>
<p>Position Summary:</p>
<p>The Youth Director/Pastor at Christ Community Church (C3) is responsible for leading, overseeing, and growing a vibrant, Christ-centered youth ministry (grades 6-12). This role involves fostering an environment where young people can deepen their relationship with God and build meaningful community. The Youth Director/Pastor will empower and equip youth leaders, engage students and their families, and integrate the youth ministry seamlessly into the broader vision and mission of C3.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>
<ol>
<li>Vision & Strategic Leadership:
<ul>
<li>Develop and articulate a compelling vision for C3's youth ministry that aligns with the overall church mission and values.</li>
<li>Strategize, plan, and implement a comprehensive discipleship pathway for students, including worship, teaching, life groups, service, and fellowship.</li>
<li>Continuously evaluate programs and strategies for effectiveness and growth.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Discipleship & Programming:
<ul>
<li>Oversee the planning and execution of engaging weekly youth gatherings (e.g., youth group, Bible studies).</li>
<li>Develop and deliver age-appropriate teaching that is biblically sound and relevant to the lives of the youth.</li>
<li>Organize and lead special events, retreats, mission trips, and outreach ministries.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Team Leadership & Development:
<ul>
<li>Recruit, train, equip, and empower a team of dedicated volunteer youth leaders.</li>
<li>Provide ongoing mentorship, support, and spiritual encouragement to leaders.</li>
<li>Foster a strong, collaborative, and healthy team culture among youth leaders.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Student Engagement & Care:
<ul>
<li>Build authentic relationships with students, providing spiritual guidance, mentorship, and pastoral care.</li>
<li>Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel valued, safe, and connected.</li>
<li>Be present and accessible to students during youth events and beyond.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Parent & Family Partnership:
<ul>
<li>Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about ministry activities and providing resources for family discipleship.</li>
<li>Seek opportunities to partner with parents in the spiritual formation of their children.<br><br></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Church Integration & Collaboration:
<ul>
<li>Work collaboratively with church staff to ensure seamless integration of youth ministry into the wider church body.</li>
<li>Partner closely with the Youth Ministry Assistant for all youth-related communications, event planning, and promotional efforts, leveraging her support for systems and announcements.</li>
<li>Actively participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall health and direction of C3.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Administration & Stewardship:
<ul>
<li>Manage the youth ministry budget responsibly.</li>
<li>Oversee necessary administrative tasks, record-keeping, and compliance with church policies (e.g., safety protocols).</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ol>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<ol>
<li>Experience:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading or significantly contributing to a vibrant youth ministry.</li>
<li>Proven track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining volunteer leaders.</li>
<li>Experience in planning and executing youth programs, events, and trips.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Education:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, Christian Ministry, or a related field preferred.</li>
<li>Formal theological training or ordination for Youth Pastor.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Skills & Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Strong biblical knowledge and ability to teach and apply scripture in a relevant way to youth.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) with youth, parents, leaders, and staff.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to cast vision, inspire, and motivate young people and volunteers.</li>
<li>Proficiency with technology relevant to youth ministry and communications (e.g., social media, presentation software).</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across ministries.</li>
</ul>
