<p><br><u>Position Summary </u><br>The Industrial Engineering Technician/QA supports project execution by reviewing <br>designs, contractor submittals, fabrication drawings, and construction activities to ensure <br>compliance with project requirements and engineering intent. <br>This position blends technical engineering support with selective field verification and quality <br>assurance responsibilities. </p>
<p><br><u>Primary Responsibilities</u> </p>
<p><br>Technical Review <br>● Review structural plans, specifications, and design packages for constructability. <br>● Review contractor submittals, steel fabrication drawings, reinforcing steel shop drawings, <br>calculations, and material certifications. <br>● Evaluate Requests for Information and provide technical recommendations. <br>● Assist in resolution of structural conflicts encountered during construction. <br>● Review temporary support systems and erection sequencing plans. </p>
<p><br>Construction Support <br>● Participate in design review meetings and construction coordination sessions. <br>● Assist with schedule reviews related to fabrication and erection activities. <br>● Support review of as-built documentation. </p>
<p><br>Quality Assurance <br>● Conduct field inspections as required to verify compliance with approved drawings and <br>specifications. <br>● Verify installation of structural steel, concrete reinforcement, anchors, embeds, and <br>miscellaneous metals. <br>● Review concrete testing reports and welding inspection documentation. <br>● Assist with punch list development and final acceptance activities. </p>
<p><br>Minimum Qualifications <br>● Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering <br>Technology. <br>● Minimum five years of experience supporting industrial, federal, manufacturing, or heavy <br>civil construction projects. <br>● Experience reviewing structural submittals, fabrication drawings, and engineering <br>calculations. <br>● Familiarity with AISC, ACI, AWS, and ICC standards. <br>● Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. </p>
<p><br>Nice To Have<br>● EIT Certification <br>● OSHA 30 <br>● USACE CQM Certification <br>● Experience supporting lock and dam, power generation, or heavy industrial projects. </p>
