<p><strong>Lead the Charge in Network Operations Across the Pacific!</strong></p><p>SOSi is looking for a <strong>Senior Network Administrator / Network Operations Deputy</strong> to join our dynamic team at <strong>Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam in Honolulu, Hawaii</strong>. We deliver <strong>mission-critical IT solutions</strong> that power <strong>operations</strong> and support <strong>5,000+ customers across the Pacific theater</strong>.</p><p>In this role, you’ll <strong>drive planning and oversight</strong> for network operations, leading a talented team of administrators and technicians to ensure <strong>secure, resilient, and high-performing networks</strong>. From LAN/WAN infrastructure to Unified Communications, VoIP, VTC, and cryptographic systems, you’ll be at the forefront of enabling <strong>real-time C2 strategies</strong> for the Department of Defense. Step in as the <strong>Person-In-Charge</strong> when leadership is away and make an impact where it matters most.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Identifies and prioritizes network assignments. Coordinates internal and external resources relevant to network-related initiatives. Communicates/manages network-related responsibilities to team.</li><li>Continuously aware of operational status of networks and related effects. Communicates status and changes to leadership, Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) and interested parties.</li><li>Ensures incidents regarding network-infrastructure and related core-services are tracked and resolved. Acts as a point of incident escalation and coverage. Manages proper communication, correction and response.</li><li>Participates in engineering, analysis and solution development, especially as it relates to solution implementation, network operations and maintenance.</li><li>Evaluates new services, technologies, software, tools, and devices that may improve organizational abilities to proactively monitor performance and remediate concerns.</li><li>Performs supervisory and administrative oversight of managed personnel. Provides recruiting, onboarding, direction/guidance, training, and assessment of network administrators, analysts and technicians.</li><li>Assess current work processes and propose recommendations that would improve work efficiencies.</li><li>Validates SOPs and TTPs associated with current knowledge of relevant network technologies. Regularly collects and summarizes pertinent network accomplishments, issues and concerns.</li><li>Identifies and validates Request for Information (RFI’s) for management and Government customer(s).</li><li>Participates in and provides feedback to network-relevant special projects.</li><li>Ensures compliance of custody and ownership of Government equipment and related components.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>An Active in-scope SECRET clearance.</li><li>7+ years of experience in network administration and enterprise IT service center operations.</li><li>DoD 8570 IAT-I compliant (A+ CE, CCNA, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP).</li><li>Prior supervisory experience. Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in IT network administration. troubleshooting and support. Knowledgeable in OSI model. Previous fiber experience (i.e., “layer-1”).</li><li>Extended knowledge of networking (switching and routing protocols, installation and configuration) with prior experience using Cisco and Brocade network solutions.</li><li>Experienced with implementing/supporting Unified Communications (UC) (e.g., VoIP, Call Manager, dVTC).</li><li>Able to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises), when necessary.</li><li>Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a (distributed) team environment.</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).</li><li>Relevant IT Certification (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, Dell, HP, ITIL, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware).</li><li>Well-versed in Department of Defense (DoD) protocols, procedures and regulations.</li><li>Previous experience (installations, troubleshooting, support) with virtual infrastructure, VDI/thin-client, VoIP deployments.</li><li>Prior experience with Forcepoint, Juniper and/or Palo Alto technologies a plus.</li><li>Prior Help Desk/software experience (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow).</li><li>Awareness of C2 applications.</li><li>Awareness or experience in ITIL framework and ITIL best practices.</li></ul>
