Supplier Quality Management Engineer – Passive Components

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li><strong>Drive</strong> "best in class" supplier quality performance for passive components to support AUMOVIO / Business Area targets (quality, delivery stability and risk reduction).</li><li><strong>Own</strong> supplier quality activities across the Product Life Cycle (PLC) requirements - ensure Components are introduced according to project schedule and use robust APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process at Category level which include Component sourcing, writing of specifications, handling of&nbsp;Qualifications, Supplier safe launch and risk management.</li><li><strong>Lead</strong> supplier and component release activities (process chain assurance, technology release readiness); drive continuously improve supplier performance in collaboration with category teams and implement Best in Class supplier and component strategy.</li><li><strong>Support</strong> the Quality Category Manager to define and roll out category quality requirements and supplier agreements, including GQA (General Quality Agreement), CQR (Category Quality Requirements) and QPR (Quality Process Requirements).</li><li><strong>Manage</strong> supplier escalations and change management to protect production and customer delivery (e.g., deviation handling, corrective actions, change risk assessment and implementation follow-up).</li><li><strong>Plan and perform</strong> supplier process audits and follow up on implementation, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and relevant VDA standards (e.g., VDA 6.3).</li><li><strong>Maintain clear SQM reporting</strong> (supplier performance, audit results, qualification status, risks and action tracking) in line with internal standards.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Good English &amp; Chinese communication (written and spoken) to work with global suppliers and stakeholders.</li><li>Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or related)</li><li>With minimum 5 years' Experience in supplier quality / manufacturing quality / quality engineering within automotive or another regulated industry (e.g., electronics, industrial, medical).</li><li>Hands-on or exposure to Passive Components <strong>with one or more technologies </strong>(capacitors, linear &amp; non-linear resistors, coil technology, frequency devices) and confidence to work with component specifications, qualifications and supplier process controls.</li><li>Working knowledge of automotive quality practices (APQP / PPAP) and auditing standards (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 or equivalent).</li><li>Ability to drive structured problem solving with suppliers and facilitate continuous improvement.</li><li>Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with external and internal stakeholders.</li><li>Able to work independently and travel frequently in domestic and international environment.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Nice-to-have</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with passive component technologies and failure modes in our scope— <strong>with one or more technologies </strong>(capacitors, linear &amp; non-linear resistors, coil technology, frequency devices) including supplier process know-how.</li><li>Certified auditor (IATF 16949 / VDA 6.3) or strong audit track record.</li><li>Strong structured problem-solving toolkit (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa) and statistical methods (SPC, MSA).</li></ul><p>Experience working with global supplier networks and managing escalations across time zones.</p>
