Licensed Therapist/Counselor

<p>Job Title: Licensed Therapist/Counselor&nbsp;<br>Employment Type: W-2 Part-Time<br>Location: Remote (U.S.)</p>

<p>Scheduling &amp; Availability (ET): Shifts are scheduled within 7:00 AM–8:00 PM, 7 days/week. You will not work all hours—your weekly schedule will be built within this window based on client needs and your availability, with most sessions typically after school.</p>

<ul>

<li>School year: must be able to accommodate sessions in 7:00–9:30 AM and 4:00–8:00 PM windows</li>

<li>Summer: sessions may be scheduled 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (flexible)</li>

<li>Clinicians: weekly Thursday team meeting 9:00 AM or 12:00 PM (based on your availability) + Week 1 onboarding at 9:00 AM</li>

<li>Occasional holidays as needed</li>

<li>Clinicians are required to maintain a minimum of 15 client hours per week<br></li>

<li>$60–$65/hr for scheduled client sessions (rate based on experience/credentials)</li>

<p>Role Overview:</p>

<p>VPM is seeking Licensed Therapists to provide short-term, school-based tele-therapy to K–12 students across Virginia through a state-funded initiative in partnership with the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE).</p>

<p>This position focuses on delivering&nbsp;culturally responsive, evidence-based therapeutic services through a secure, HIPAA- and FERPA-compliant virtual platform. Therapists will play an essential role in expanding access to care for students regardless of insurance coverage, immigration status, or language barriers.</p>

<p>Key responsibilities include but limited to:</p>

<p>Direct Client Care</p>

<ul>

<li>Deliver individual tele-therapy sessions for K–12 students referred by participating schools</li>

<li>Utilize short-term, evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy</li>

<li>Address a range of concerns including anxiety, grief, trauma, academic stress, and family or peer conflict</li>

<li>Provide services to diverse student populations, including multilingual learners and those without insurance</li>

</ul>

<p>Collaboration &amp; Communication</p>

<ul>

<li>Coordinate with school counselors, family resource managers, and administrative teams</li>

<li>Engage in family outreach when appropriate to promote continuity of care</li>

<li>Participate in case consultations, supervision, and ongoing professional development</li>

<li>Maintain responsive and professional communication with both school and internal VPM partners</li>

</ul>

<p>Documentation &amp; Compliance</p>

<ul>

<li>Complete all clinical documentation (intake, progress, and discharge notes) within 48 hours</li>

<li>Ensure compliance with all licensure board requirements, HIPAA, FERPA, and program-specific standards</li>

<li>Contribute to quarterly outcomes reporting through standardized metrics and case summaries</li>

<p>Qualifications &amp; Preferred Experience:</p>

<p>Licensure</p>

<ul>

<li>Licensed or license-eligible in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent</li>

<li>Residents must be actively pursuing licensure and eligible for clinical supervision</li>

</ul>

<p>Experience</p>

<ul>

<li>Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, or school-aged youth</li>

<li>Prior experience in school-based therapy, community mental health, or tele-health preferred</li>

<li>Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis response a plus</li>

</ul>
