Project Engineer

<p><strong>Cochran’s Union, Missouri&nbsp;</strong>headquarters’<strong> </strong>location, is looking for a <strong>Civil Project Engineer </strong>to join our team.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Position Summary:<br></strong>We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented <strong>Project Engineer</strong> to support a wide range of civil engineering projects. This role is ideal for someone with an <strong>EIT certification</strong> who is actively pursuing or has recently achieved their <strong>Professional Engineer (PE) license</strong>. The ideal candidate brings experience in design, permitting, and construction support, and is ready to take on more responsibility in project coordination and client communication.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects, including site development, roadway improvements, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure</li>

<li>Prepare design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates</li>

<li>Perform engineering calculations, site layout, grading, and stormwater modeling</li>

<li>Support project managers with schedules, budgets, permitting, and agency coordination</li>

<li>Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation and documentation</li>

<li>Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes</li>

<li>Mentor junior engineers and support staff as needed</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field</li>

<li>EIT certification required</li>

<li>PE license preferred or on track to obtain within 12 months</li>

<li>3–6 years of relevant civil engineering experience</li>

<li>Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite</li>

<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>

<li>Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Familiarity with local, state, and federal design standards and permitting requirements</li>

<li>Experience working with municipalities, DOTs, or private developers</li>

<li>Knowledge of stormwater modeling software or other civil design tools</li>
