<p>Evergreen Family Medicine is a Drug Free Workplace. All candidates that are offered employment will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Responsibilities and Duties:</p>

<ul>

<li>Room patient for provider</li>

<li>Take vitals, check meds and patient history</li>

<li>Set up paps</li>

<li>Clean rooms</li>

<li>Assist with surgical procedures; set up room, stitch removal, ear wax removal, injections, assist with circs and other surgical procedures</li>

<li>Set up and complete EKG’s and NEB tx/spirometry</li>

<li>Complete lab procedures; quickstrep, mono, hemacult, UA dips, and prepare labs for send outs</li>

<li>Monthly QA’s; record daily temps of refrigerator</li>

<li>Clean utensils and be able to operator autoclave</li>

<li>Give immunizations and complete proper paperwork</li>

<li>Weekly order &amp; stock supplies</li>

<li>Triage calls and make appropriate call backs for provider</li>

<li>Complete medicine refill requests and fax or call in when needed</li>

<li>Set up mammograms and dexa appointments</li>

<li>Set up US, CT, MRI, Stress, Echo Testing, etc.</li>

<li>Complete patient notification for normal lab &amp; x-ray results</li>

<li>Calling lab, etc. for results</li>

<li>Scheduling appointments only if requested by doctor</li>

<li>Know and be able to use ICD-10 coding on labs &amp; diagnostics</li>

<li>Call drug reps; check on drug supplies and expiration dates</li>

<li>Document and scribe patient visits&nbsp;</li>

<li>Other duties as directed by your manager</li>

</ul>

<p>Qualifications and Skills:</p>

<ul>

<li>One year work experience in a medical setting</li>

<li>High school diploma or GED</li>

<li>Experience taking manual vitals (blood pressure, pulse, respirations)</li>

<li>EMR/HER experience</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li>Must be available for any schedule, including weekends and evenings</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing</li>

<li>Administer medications accordingly as directed by the provider</li>

<li>Assess patient needs and document accurately</li>

<li>Set priorities for nursing action in a sequence according to patient needs</li>

<li>Communicate with the provider and other nurses and team members to ensure the patients well being</li>

<li>Teach patient appropriate health information and share written informational material</li>

<li>Maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment for patient and staff according to policy and procedures</li>

<li>Participate in economical utilization of supplies</li>

<li>Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe and clean manner</li>

<li>Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)</li>

<li>Minimize non-productive time and fill slow periods with activities that will enable you to prepare to meet the future needs of EFM</li>

<p>Physical requirements:</p>

<ul>

<li><br>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li>

<li><br>The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms. </li>

<li><br>The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch.&nbsp;</li>

<li>May be exposed to patients with infectious diseases.</li>

<li>Must be able to lift up to 15 - 25 pounds at times.</li>
