<p><strong>About the Role</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<p>As an R&amp;D Engineering&nbsp;Manager at Lexington Medical, you will lead our Handle team, a group of 3 to 5 engineers supporting our Powered and&nbsp;Manual Surgical Stapler platforms.&nbsp;</p>

<p>You will provide both technical and&nbsp;people&nbsp;leadership across active product-development, product-improvement, and sustaining work. That means helping the team make sound engineering decisions, setting priorities, removing roadblocks, reviewing designs,&nbsp;managing project and resource tradeoffs, and developing the engineers themselves.&nbsp;</p>

<p>You will work closely with Quality, Regulatory,&nbsp;Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other R&amp;D teams as products move from development through transfer to production and throughout their lifecycle.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Lead and develop a team of 3 to 5 engineers working on electromechanical surgical stapling instrumentation. </li>

<li>Provide technical leadership across sustaining and active product-development&nbsp;programs, from product definition through design, verification, transfer to production, and lifecycle support. </li>

<li>Set priorities and drive day-to-day execution, including removing technical roadblocks, resolving resource conflicts, and keeping programs moving against commitments. </li>

<li>Participate in product-definition and design-requirement decisions and translate them into actionable engineering plans. </li>

<li>Serve as a technical resource and escalation point; review and approve engineering documentation, change orders, and risk-management files. </li>

<li>Own the Design History File and other relevant product documentation, including transfer-to-production documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance. </li>

<li>Lead design reviews and ensure engineering decisions account for technical, quality, manufacturing, and cross-functional goals. </li>

<li>Partner with RA/QA, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations on product improvements, DFX changes, new product introductions, and sustaining initiatives. </li>

<li>Build a strong engineering team through feedback, coaching, career development, recruiting, and onboarding.&nbsp;</li>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or&nbsp;a related&nbsp;field. </li>
