Multilingual License-Eligible Therapist

<p>Job Title: Multilingual License-Eligible&nbsp;Therapist – K-12 School-Based Telehealth Program<br>Employment Type: W-2 Part-Time<br>Location: Remote (U.S.)<br></p>

<p>Scheduling &amp; Availability (ET): Shifts are scheduled within 7:00 AM–8:00 PM, 7 days/week. You will not work all hours—your weekly schedule will be built within this window based on client needs and your availability, with most sessions typically after school.</p>

<ul>

<li>School year: must be able to accommodate sessions in 7:00–9:30 AM and 4:00–8:00 PM windows</li>

<li>Summer: sessions may be scheduled 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (flexible)</li>

<li>Clinicians: weekly Thursday team meeting 9:00 AM or 12:00 PM (based on your availability) + Week 1 onboarding at 9:00 AM</li>

<li>Occasional holidays as needed</li>

<li>Clinicians are required to maintain a minimum of 15 client hours per week</li>

<li>$45–$55/hr for scheduled client sessions (rate based on experience/credentials)</li>

<li>$25/hr for training and administrative (non-clinical) time</li>

<p>Position Overview:</p>

<p>Virtual Peace of Mind is actively seeking Multilingual<br>License-Eligible&nbsp;Therapists to deliver short-term, school-based teletherapy to K–12 students across Virginia. Under a VDOE-endorsed initiative, this role is critical to ensuring that linguistically diverse students have equitable access to culturally and language-appropriate mental health care—regardless of insurance, immigration status, or fluency in English.</p>

<p>This is an excellent opportunity for bilingual or multilingual clinicians who are passionate about youth mental health, comfortable providing care via secure virtual platforms, and committed to reducing barriers for English learners and immigrant communities in Virginia’s public schools. Clinical supervision is available for residents.<br></p>

<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>

<p>Direct Client Care</p>

<ul>

<li>Provide individual teletherapy sessions in students’ preferred language when possible (Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, French, etc.)<br></li>

<li>Use culturally responsive, short-term interventions to support students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or academic-related stress</li>

<li>Address issues such as trauma, anxiety, adjustment, grief, bullying, identity, or family challenges</li>

<li>Ensure language equity in service delivery by using interpreters or translated materials when direct language matching is unavailable<br></li>

</ul>

<p>Collaboration &amp; Communication</p>

<ul>

<li>Collaborate with school counselors, family resource managers, and administrators to support students with limited English proficiency</li>

<li>Participate in multilingual family outreach, offering psychoeducation and support in a culturally sensitive manner</li>

<li>Attend team meetings and consultations to ensure holistic care for linguistically diverse students</li>

<li>Communicate clearly with staff, families, and students using tools and strategies appropriate for multilingual engagement<br></li>

</ul>

<p>Documentation &amp; Compliance</p>

<ul>

<li>Document all services in the EHR system, ensuring clarity for both English- and non-English-speaking caregivers and partners</li>

<li>Maintain timely, FERPA- and HIPAA-compliant notes, treatment plans, and discharge reports</li>

<li>Ensure services meet ethical and licensure board standards, including those related to language access and informed consent</li>

<p>Qualifications and Preferred Experience:</p>

<p>Licensure</p>

<ul>

<li>License-eligible in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent</li>

<li>Residents must be approved for supervision toward licensure</li>

<li>Fluency in Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, French, Mandarin, or other in-demand languages strongly preferred<br></li>

<p>Experience</p>

<ul>

<li>Minimum of 1 year providing clinical support to children and adolescents, preferably in school or telehealth settings</li>

<li>Experience working with immigrant, refugee, or English learner populations is strongly preferred</li>

<li>Knowledge of trauma-informed care and culturally grounded practices<br></li>

</ul>
