<p>Overview</p><p><strong>🚀 Empower Mission Success in the Pacific: Join SOSi as a Systems Engineer in Honolulu!</strong></p><p><strong>SOSi</strong> is on the hunt for a forward-thinking <strong>Senior Systems Engineer</strong> to help shape the future of <strong>Command and Control (C2) IT solutions</strong> at <strong>Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam</strong>. You’ll be part of a high-impact team supporting over <strong>5,000 users across the Pacific theater</strong>, solving complex technical challenges that drive mission-critical operations.</p><p>In this role, you’ll lead the charge in developing and maintaining a robust enterprise infrastructure and private cloud platform. You’ll collaborate with senior DoD personnel, deliver executive-level briefings, and ensure compliance with <strong>Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA)</strong> and <strong>Data Centric Security Principles</strong>.</p><p>If you're ready to innovate at the edge of defense technology and make a real-world impact, this is your moment!</p><p>Essential Job Duties</p><ul><li>Assess, design, and roadmap development for the implementation or integration of ZTA solutions.</li><li>Assess, design, and roadmap development for the implementation or integration of Data Centric Security solutions.</li><li>Contribute, provide technical recommendations, and attend briefings or information sharing forums, with our customer and the leadership, in support of ZTA initiatives and new capabilities.</li><li>Interact with vendors, other agencies, and Coalition Partners on behalf of the program.</li><li>Lead complex technical projects including upgrades, system integrations, and other installations in support of existing Enterprise capabilities.</li><li>Provide mentorship for Systems Operations personnel in administration principles and best practices.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.</li><li>Maintain current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.</li><li>Reviews work efforts/implementations and contributes to analysis, After-Action-Reports (AAR). Regularly collects and summarizes pertinent network-related accomplishments, issues, and concerns. Completes activity reports in accordance with contract requirements.</li><li>Ensures compliance of custody and ownership of Government equipment and related components.</li><li>Participates in related solution technologies and special projects, as required.</li><li>Interface with team leads and team members to collect, develop, document, and submit status updates via a Weekly Activity Report (WAR).</li></ul>
<p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>An Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility and US Passport.</li><li>Bachelors degree in IT, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering or similar and 5+ years of experience, or 9+ years of experience in enterprise IT systems engineering and operations involving complex classified DoD environments and mandatory security controls (e.g., STIGs).</li><li>5+ years implementation and support in server administration. Extensive experience with Microsoft or Linux enterprise services portfolio (Exchange, Active Directory, DNS/BIND, DHCP, SQL, etc).</li><li>DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, CCNA, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP).</li><li>Server Administration (Microsoft or Linux+) certification at hire.</li><li>Obtain Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) within 6 months.</li><li>Prior experience in implementing and supporting DoD secure systems environments.</li><li>Experience with Hyperconverged Infrastructure (Nutanix preferred).</li><li>Experience with NSA CSfC requirements including Multi-Site Connectivity Capability Package (MSCCP) and Mobile Access Capability Package (MACP).</li><li>Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and/or DISA Trusted Network Environment (TNE).</li><li>Customer-service oriented with a willingness to participate and assist.</li><li>Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a (distributed) team environment.</li><li>Team-player and able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.</li><li>Attention to detail. Excellent planning and time-management skills.</li><li>Able to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises), when necessary.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) certification.</li><li>Additional IT certifications in relevant technology platform (e.g., Network+, Citrix, Dell, HPE/Aruba, ITIL, Juniper, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware).</li><li>Experience with Forcepoint/Everfox Trusted Thin Clinent.</li><li>Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).</li><li>Familiarity with VDI/Virtual Environments and solutions (VMware Horizon, Citrix VDI).</li><li>Familiarity with Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) and C2 applications.</li><li>Experience in ITIL framework and best practices (e.g., Change Management, Configuration Management, Capacity Planning).</li><li>Experience using Help Desk software (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow).</li></ul>
