About this role

<p>Purpose –<br></p>

<p>The Concrete Foreman leads and works alongside a concrete crew to complete assigned work safely, accurately, and on schedule. This position plans daily field activities, directs employees, coordinates materials and equipment, and ensures concrete formwork, placement, and finishing meet project plans and quality standards.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Duties and Responsibilities –</p>

<ul>

<li>Lead and supervise the concrete crew, including assigning daily work, communicating expectations, monitoring productivity, and coaching employees.</li>

<li>Plan and coordinate daily concrete activities with the Superintendent and project team to meet schedule, quality, and production goals.</li>

<li>Read and interpret plans, specifications, schematics, and drawings; establish and verify layout, grades, elevations, dimensions, and ADA requirements.</li>

<li>Direct and perform concrete formwork, including laying out, building, setting, aligning, bracing, and stripping forms for foundations, walls, slabs, curbs, sidewalks, and other concrete structures.</li>

<li>Inspect forms before placement to confirm proper line, grade, dimensions, stability, and readiness for concrete.</li>

<li>Coordinate the installation of reinforcing steel, embeds, anchor bolts, joints, and other items required before concrete placement.</li>

<li>Oversee concrete placement, consolidation, finishing, curing, and protection to ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.</li>

<li>Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment; identify shortages or field issues early and communicate needs to the Superintendent.</li>

<li>Work closely with other trades when projects require simultaneous or overlapping work.</li>

<li>Enforce company safety requirements, conduct daily safety discussions, correct unsafe conditions, and ensure the crew uses tools and equipment properly.</li>

<li>Maintain accurate daily documentation, including crew hours, work completed, production information, and jobsite issues as required.</li>

<p>Education and Experience – </p>

<ul>

<li>High school diploma or equivalent required; construction trade education or certification preferred.</li>

<li>3+ years of hands-on concrete construction experience, including concrete formwork experience building, setting, bracing, aligning, and stripping forms.</li>

<li>2+ years of experience leading or supervising a concrete crew required.</li>

</ul>

<p>Skills and Abilities –</p>

<ul>

<li>Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to direct, train, motivate, and hold crew members accountable.</li>

<li>Strong hands-on knowledge of concrete formwork methods, materials, bracing, layout, and quality checks.</li>

<li>Knowledge of grades, elevations, drainage, and ADA requirements.</li>

<li>Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.</li>

<li>Ability to plan work, organize labor and materials, solve field problems, and maintain production goals.</li>

<li>Experience efficiently and safely operating concrete trade tools and equipment.</li>

<li>Strong communication and collaboration skills with crews, supervisors, project staff, and other trades.</li>

<li>Ability to bend, crouch, lift, and stand for extended periods in outdoor construction conditions.</li>
