The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time IT Specialist (INFOSEC) (NH-2210-03) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) – 75th Air Base Wing, on Hill AFB in Layton, UT. Recruitment, Relocation, and Student Loan Incentives may be authorized. 2026 Salary Range ($89,508-$138,370) Yearly Job Open Date 10/29/2026 Job Close Date 11/05/2026 Who May Apply: US Citizen In this position you will serve as a first-level supervisor exercising technical and administrative personnel management. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinate personnel, establishes and adjusts short- and long-term priorities, prepares production schedules, and assigns tasks based on project difficulty and employee capabilities. Evaluates work performance, establishes standards, provides counseling and technical instruction, and explains classification determinations. Interviews candidates, recommends selections, promotions, or reassignments, identifies employee development and training needs, resolves workplace grievances, administers minor disciplinary measures, and proactively maintains a work environment free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Plans, organizes, and directs cyber, IT, and information/knowledge management (IM) programs in compliance with legal, regulatory, and AF/DoD directives to support mission objectives. Leads end-to-end Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and oversees the preparation, validation, and defense of comprehensive Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages. Manages continuous monitoring efforts, security control assessments, and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to remediate vulnerabilities. Designs, enhances, and optimizes system architectures to satisfy operational requirements and establishes plans of action to increase the efficiency, security, and effectiveness of IT applications. Requirements U.S. Citizenship Obtain & maintain a Security clearance This is a designated Drug Testing Position Certifications/Licensure The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty This position may require work to be performed during hours outside the normal duty schedule. DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF) Qualification is a condition of employment. According to DoDM 8140.03, Chap 4, Para 4.4.1, personnel may be subject to administrative action if they do not obtain or maintain foundational requirements within nine months of assignment to a DCWF coded role. Recruitment Knowledge Skills And Abilities 1. Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of cyber, IT, or IM assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation as well as knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, managing cyber, IT, or IM projects and resources, monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance. Ability to lead and manage information systems planning, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance as well as ability to make decisions or recommendations that significantly impact important agency cyber, IT, or IM policies or programs. 2. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for the coordinated management of cyber, IT, or IM programs to include providing oversight of multiple projects, integrating dependent schedules and deliverables, and related activities such as life cycle management and program governance. Ability to develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services. Skill in applying new developments to previously unsolvable problems. 3. Knowledge of the principles and methods to identify, analyze, specify, design, and manage functional and infrastructure requirements; includes translating functional requirements into technical requirements used for logical design or alternative technologies or approaches. Ability to research and analyze external products to determine their potential for meeting mission requirements and business needs. 4. Knowledge of concepts, practices, and leadership techniques used to identify, engage, influence and monitor relationships with individuals and groups connected to cyber, IT, or IM work/development efforts. Includes those who are actively involved, those who exert influence over the process and its results, and those who have a vested interest in the outcome. Ability to provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical cyber, IT, or IM issues as well as ability to work effectively with customers to assess their requirements then provide information, expertise, and assistance to satisfy those needs. 5. Knowledge of methods of leadership and supervision to hold others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results. Ability to determine objectives, make sound, well-informed, and objective decisions, set priorities, cause change, and accomplish organizational goals. 6. Skill in leading productive teams and work centers. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of a unit and lead, mentor, motivate, and appraise subordinate staff.
