<p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION:<br>Maintains the therapeutic atmosphere by upholding policies and<br>procedures to assure order, safety, and day to day routines appropriate to adult clients with<br>substance abuse disorders or co-occurring disorders. They ensure continuity for the efforts of the<br>treatment staff between the daytime and evening hours, and between the weekday and weekend<br>hours. This person coordinates various aspects of the clients’ treatment needs including<br>orientation and assisting with admissions and discharges. This person may work with nursing or<br>other clinical staff in administering medications, and charting.<br>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>•<br>Help with admitting, discharging, and de-escalating clients as necessary<br>•<br>Perform Preliminary Breath Test (PBT) and Urine Drug Screen for each new admission.<br>•<br>Assure that clients understand their rights and responsibilities and that they have<br>thorough orientation to treatment milieu schedule, rules, guidelines, confidentiality, and<br>releases of information, etc. and adherence to program procedures/policies.<br>•<br>Assist nurses with medications as necessary.<br>•<br>Assist with ordering, inventory and stocking of necessary food, equipment, and supplies.<br>•<br>Assist in house meetings, educational groups, and solution solving when requested.<br>•<br>Assist with client needs; clothing, medical, other needs-<br>communicating needs with<br>management and nurses.<br>•<br>Clean and sanitize.<br>•<br>Write client progress notes when required; communicate any program/client needs with<br>Manager and other staff.<br>•<br>Always maintain confidentiality of all clients<br>•<br>Role model of good therapeutic boundaries and ethical behavior to clients<br>•<br>Conduct regular program rounds to ensure the whereabouts of clients and/or to monitor<br>the safety of agency programs.<br>•<br>Assist in agency compliance and development by keeping current with online agency<br>trainings.<br>•<br>Enforce all facility rules.<br>•<br>Submit maintenance requests for repairs as necessary.<br>QUALIFACTIONS:<br>•<br>High school diploma required<br>•<br>COVID-19 Vaccine<br>•<br>CPR/First Aid (will train upon hire)</p>
<p><br>REQUIRED TRAININGS/CERTIFICATIONS:<br>N/A<br>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:<br>Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time<br>SKILLS NEEDED/EXPERIENCE:<br>•<br>Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skill<br>•<br>Must possess excellent decision making and critical thinking skills as member of team<br>•<br>Knowledge of recovery and various addiction treatment models helpful<br>•<br>Proficient computer and word processing skills<br>•<br>Strong crisis intervention skills to effectively deescalate and problem-solve to promote<br>safety and stability<br>•<br>Awareness of how to maintain appropriate boundaries in the therapeutic relationship<br>•<br>Ability to build rapport with clients and communicate a supportive,<br>non-judgmental<br>attitude<br>This job description is intended to indicate the kinds of tasks and levels of work that will be<br>required of this position.
