<p>Galvion is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer III to join our Engineering team in Portsmouth, NH. In this role, you’ll help design and build the next generation of advanced electro-mechanical systems engineered to seamlessly integrate with the human body and perform in some of the world’s most demanding environments.</p>

<p>You’ll work as part of a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team alongside<br>Program Managers, Industrial Designers, Systems Architects, and Electrical Engineers to turn innovative concepts into high-quality products.</p>

<p>What You’ll Do</p>

<ul>

<li>Design mechanical components, assemblies, mechanisms, and electro-mechanical systems using 3D CAD/SolidWorks.</li>

<li>Create and review engineering drawings, including GD&amp;T, BOMs, and supporting documentation.</li>

<li>Design packaging for rigid and flexible electronic circuits and interconnections.</li>

<li>Perform structural, thermal, heat-transfer, and tolerance-stack analyses.</li>

<li>Develop prototypes, assemble and test systems, and use 3D printers and shop tools to evaluate designs.</li>

<li>Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to support both low- and high-volume production.</li>

<li>Work with molded and machined components across a variety of materials.</li>

<li>Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality, repeatable assembly, delivery, and manufacturing capacity.</li>

<li>Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, fault finding, and sustaining engineering activities.</li>

<li>Work closely with cross-functional engineering and product development teams to rapidly iterate designs.</li>

<li>Support continuous improvement and engineering excellence initiatives.</li>

<p>What We’re Looking For</p>

<ul>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li>

<li>8–10 years of mechanical engineering experience in a product development environment.</li>

<li>Strong experience with SolidWorks or an equivalent 3D CAD platform, including drawings and PDM.</li>

<li>Experience designing molded and machined parts.</li>

<li>Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T).</li>

<li>Experience performing engineering calculations and analyzing test data using Excel, MATLAB, or similar tools.</li>

<li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to challenging mechanical problems.</li>

<li>Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.</li>

<li>Clear written and verbal communication skills.</li>

<li>Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.</li>

<li>A proactive, customer-focused, and “can-do” mindset.</li>

<p>The Work Environment</p>

<p>This is a hands-on engineering position that combines office-based design work with time spent in a manufacturing environment. Some travel between Galvion facilities may be required, with occasional international travel to Canada.</p>
