Java Developer

<p><b>SUMMARY:</b></p><p>Develops and maintains internal and external JAVA web based applications, including quality assurance. Be an integral part of our team of developers, database and systems administrators to Support the NASA SEWP Program Management Office, a multi-award government acquisition contract focused on commercial IT products and product based services. Supports the integration of hardware and software systems, and generation of related documentation.</p><p>RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>• Develop/maintain/enhance software to support the NASA SEWP Program<br>• Review general requirements, break down and design system components and the interfaces between them<br>• Develop, test and support customer facing and internal web applications<br>• Use existing design patterns to improve design and manageability of code<br>• Collaborate closely with application developers, content management and internal stakeholders<br>• Document the system design, component design, interface design and the code to enable future maintainability<br>• Adhere to project schedules, and proactively resolve or escalate issues to management<br>• Adapt and contribute to a fast-paced and agile application development environment<br>• Provide software maintenance support after core business hours, nights or weekend<br>• Provide Level II customer support via phone support, Parature customer service software and/or for existing web applications<br>• Must possess strong written and oral communications skills<br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

<p>• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field<br></p><p>• 3+ years of web development experience using a JAVA Framework such as Spring is required.<br>• 3+ years of Java Enterprise Edition development<br>• 3+ years of experience working with SQL Server or ORACLE databases preferred.<br>• Experience with JBoss, Hibernate or myBATIS, Maven, rich AJAX web applications, GIT and Eclipse knowledge are preferred.<br>• Agile Development Experience preferred.<br></p>
