<p>Hiring of Principal Engineer</p><p> </p><p>Experience range: 6 to 8 years</p><p> </p><p>Must:</p><p>Understanding of Ethernet Standards: IEEE 802.3 (10/100/1000BASE-T, 2.5G/5G/10GBASE-T, NBASE-T, Fiber Optics).</p><p>Ethernet PHY ICs: Internal blocks (PCS, PMA, PMD), Auto-negotiation, Link Training, FEC, Loopbacks.</p><p>Media Independent Interfaces (MIIs): MII, RMII, GMII, RGMII, SGMII, XAUI, QSGMII, KR/SR/LR.</p><p>Layer 2 Switching Concepts: MAC address learning, VLANs (802.1Q), Spanning Tree Protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP), Link Aggregation (LAG/LACP), IGMP Snooping.</p><p>Debugging Skills: Hardware and software troubleshooting.</p><p> </p><p>Good to Have:</p><p>Ethernet Switch Architectures & Features: QoS, traffic shaping, port mirroring, PTP/NTP.</p><p>Linux Kernel Development: Device drivers, network stack.</p><p>Scripting Languages: Python, Bash (for test automation and data analysis).</p><p>Network Test Equipment: Traffic generators, network sniffers (e.g., Wireshark).</p><p>MPU/MCU/OS: Microchip VSC, experience with IStax and WebStax, Redboot, uBoot.</p><p> </p>
