Assistant Superintendent - Commercial Construction

<p>Position Summary</p>

<p>Great States Construction, a leading commercial general contractor based in Fargo, ND, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented&nbsp;Assistant Superintendent&nbsp;to support field operations on multi-family and commercial construction projects in the Bismarck market. The Assistant Superintendent will work under the direct supervision of the Superintendent, assisting with day-to-day site management, safety enforcement, quality control, and subcontractor coordination. This role is designed for individuals seeking to grow into a Superintendent position and gain hands-on field leadership experience.</p>

<p>Key Responsibilities</p>

<ul>

<li>Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations and job site coordination.</li>

<li>Help manage subcontractors, field crews, and logistics to ensure efficient progress.</li>

<li>Support safety enforcement on the job site, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies.</li>

<li>Assist in monitoring and documenting quality control throughout the project.</li>

<li>Maintain daily logs, reports, and project documentation as directed by the Superintendent.</li>

<li>Participate in project meetings, communicating updates and field needs.</li>

<li>Help anticipate and resolve field-related issues in coordination with the Superintendent.</li>

<li>Contribute to punch list completion and project closeout.</li>

<p>Qualifications</p>

<ul>

<li>3–5 years of field construction experience, preferably with exposure to&nbsp;multi-family and commercial projects.</li>

<li>Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and job site safety practices.</li>

<li>Eagerness to learn and grow into a leadership role.</li>

<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li>

<li>OSHA certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.</li>

<li>Clean driving record.</li>

</ul>

<p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required</p>

<li>Familiarity with Procore (preferred) and Bluebeam.</li>

<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.</li>

<li>Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail.</li>
